The project involved laying over 2,400 square meters of construction over existing classroom buildings, resulting in the creation of new science labs, 18 classrooms, staff rooms, and storage spaces. The structural design of the construction incorporated 24-meter spans with cantilevers that ranged from 3.0 meters to 9.5 meters. This resulted in a flyover of the existing school facilities that were anchored to the footings using pure hinge connections. The bold design approach was successful in achieving significant cost and time savings while also delivering added value to the local community.
